“Inspiring a generation : Crème de la crème ”

Crème de la crème was an inspiring evening, a night that captured the beauty and passion of young African Caribbean professionals and entrepreneurs. The venue was very plush and added an extra buzz to the already exciting action packed evening.

“It’s lonely up here”, says Alexandra Amosu, who graced the stage of the Prestigious Porchester Hall on Saturday 18th August 2007. Amosu captured the idea of the power of a united front, and called on all African Caribbean’s across the country to support each other as a team and join him up there in the boardrooms.

An evening the edutained the audience like never before, merging both professionals and entrepreneurs from different fields and cultural backgrounds. The event was hosted by the beautiful Lisa Bent and the charismatic Darae palmer, whose chemistry kept the night alive and real.

Entertainment on the night was amazing; DJ on the night, “Zak” from amplified-online and the dance group “Spirit” from Ivy entertainment, kept audience bumping their heads and moving their feet all night long.

The fashion showcase featuring the two fabulous designers, Merci-me and Grace of warmspirit.co.uk was phenomenal With support of mahogany models the two designers wowed the audience with jaw dropping designs, class, glamour and culture; a mixture of the West and African rich heritage. Comedy by Funmbi received a standing ovation, a talented performance that made your heart melt by Yolanda Brown and a mind blowing end by the soulful singer Teisha O’day.

The CEO and Director of Fundraising for g.a.p (growing aspiring people) network, Paulette West and Patrick Passley spoke respectively to the audience about the importance of networking and communication, and the benefits of The Black Pound. Together they highlighted the importance and advantages of supporting one another within the black community to encourage economic growth and community cohesion.
Not forgetting Cancer black care addressing the issues of cancer within our community and how we need to start increasing our awareness.

The final words of the night came from the Founder of Soulful ink and organiser of the event Adekeye Oduneye, who believes, it is time the black community in the United Kingdom start playing a significant role in the British financial economy.

“Crème de la crème” is the first of many ventures to come from Soulful ink. Their aim is to unite the African and Caribbean community, promote and inspire the community, to make a greater impact in the British financial economy; cut down all the talking and inspire more action by our generation of go-getters.
